It may be the end of college football season soon, but that doesn’t mean we can’t give one last nod to the tailgate spirit we brought to UNC-Chapel Hill earlier this fall.
To celebrate the university’s homecoming game against Georgia Tech, we hit the road and traveled from Mt. Airy to Chapel Hill this November. And of course, the Bronco came with us.
On Thursday, Fish Hippie partnered with the Carolina Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and set up our tent, flags and corn hole in front of the university’s J-School (that’s Journalism School for you Bachelor of Science majors.) Needless to say, we ran out of our signature trucker hats fast and our other giveaways were a hit too.
We spent Friday exploring Franklin Street and checking out the view from Top of the Hill. We also couldn’t miss out on Carolina favorites like He’s Not Here and the Carolina Coffee Shop.
Fast forward to Saturday and it was an early morning at the Beta House, since we had a 12:30 p.m. kickoff time.
With the Bronco parked and our corn hole out, we were ready to cheer on the Tarheels. Check out the fun we had:
When it was all said and done, the Heels won 48-20 and we had plenty of new friends at UNC-Chapel Hill.
A big thank you to the Carolina PRSSA and Beta House for helping us bring our own brand of spirit to UNC Homecoming Weekend!
If you are interested in having Fish Hippie visit your college or university, let us know – we love a good road trip!
